Grandson will soon be in St. Paul on his ‘I Love You, I’m Trying’ tour

By Jordan Zinda

For his latest trek across North America, alternative rocker, grandson has quite the spectacle planned, guests and all. In support of his latest full length album, “I Love You, I’m Trying”, the singer/songwriter will make his way across the country from San Diego to New Hampshire and hitting every major market in between.

A voice for the voiceless, grandson is never timid about saying what’s on his mind. Politically pointed tracks that tackle topics like political corruption or the state of gun rights in America pervade his discography. While he can be topically compared to the likes of Rage Against the Machine, even going as far as covering their 1999 track “Maria”, he is sure to entertain any fans of a more alternative vibe, pulling inspiration from rock and hip hop alike. The close up picture that grandson displays on his latest album and throughout his discography is sure to translate into what will surely be a do not miss kind of show. Whether you’re a part of the youth that needs to hear what he’s got to say or a bit older and have been screaming exactly the same things ferociously for years, there will be something that everyone can relate to when he takes to the stage here next month.

The tour stop in our own back yard at St. Paul’s Palace Theatre will consist of grandson, K. Flay and Jack Kays, however support for this journey will also include De’Wayne and No Love For The Middle Child on select dates. Tickets are on sale now and you can see the full list of tour dates below or by going to grandsonmusic.com for more information.
